Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Beat room temperature butter with an electric mixer on high for 30 seconds.
  • Add sugar, baking soda, and cream of tartar and mix until combined.
  • Add egg and vanilla and beat until combined. Scrape sides of bowl and mix again.
  • Add flour and mix until just combined.
  • Roll into 24 balls. Mix cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Roll dough in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Place 12 cookies on a greased cookie sheet and flatten to a puck shape (not too flat) . Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
