Cook Time

Yield

24 Servings

Ingredients

  • 9 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 9 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 5 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • 4 1/2 Teaspoons Active Dry Yeast
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2/3 Cup Water

Directions

  • Combine milk, 1/2 cup sugar and butter in a small saucepan. Heat just until butter melts. Remove from heat and allow to cool until lukewarm. This is important! If your mixture is too hot it will kill the yeast!
  • Take warm water (between 105 and 115 degrees), 1 Tablespoon of water and yeast and mix. Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Yeast should be bubbly. If its not, your water was too hot (or your yeast too old) and you need to start over.
  • In a large bowl, combine 1/3 of the flour with the milk mixture. Beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Add yeast mixture and beat on high for 3 minutes. Add beaten eggs.
  • Add as much of the flour as needed to make a dough that pulls from the sides of the mixer but is still somewhat sticky to the touch.
  • Spray a large bowl with cooking spray and put your dough in to rise. Cover with a clean towel and allow to rise for 1 hour.
  • Grease pan. Use 1 9x13 pan per 12 yield. Divide number of rolls according to the yield. Form into balls and place in pan.
  • Cover with towel and allow to rise for 30 minutes. After about 15 minutes into the rising time, preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Place rolls in preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes until they are a golden brown. Remove from oven and rub a stick of butter over the tops of the rolls. This will make them look amazing and keep the top crust nice and soft. Enjoy while warm!
